Long time ago, I came across a curious statement: Europeans work to live, Americans live to work. That was to justify 6-week vacations, *free* education and healthcare, etc. Strangely, there was no mention of Japanese work culture (taking a 4-day vacation almost = disloyalty, but this is Japan, so who cares, right?) Socialist redistribution has an attractive aura for those contributing less, without missing *equal* benefits. Up to 90% taxation in Iceland, anyone? Wonderful, worry-free life in Greece, Spain, anyone? We need more hard facts, displayed for everyone, in plain English, Dr. Sowell-style.
