Why does not one connect these statistics to the way men have been marginalized in family life? Men have no reproductive rights. A woman can choose to abort without even telling the father. A man has no choice about child support if the woman chooses to have the child. He cannot opt out, and he cannot choose to have a child.
And if he does have a child, he is only there at the mercy of the mother. If she tires of him she can kick him out and collect child support for decades to come. Support set at ever higher levels thanks to feminist lobbies. With no serious expectation of custody for the man and no significant amount of time to see the children and actually influence them.
Why would a man want marriage?
