Okay, let us get a few things straight. If the Armed Forces are to defend America they have to do two things: reduce enemy capabilities and render them harmless. In order to do that they have to be stationed and deployed where they can get at said capabilities. In turn that means that if they are functional they are going to be in lots of foreign climes. Some people on this thread and elsewhere need to grow up and accept that fact.. If you can't at least have the decency to advocate reducing the Armed Forces to not more than a symbolic 50,000 to 60,000 (including reserves), confined to the Continental United States and armed with just enough weapons to insure our compliance with whatever edicts others may inflict upon us.
