The Republican Party is hostage to well-heeled extremists who continue to push their I-Me-My-Mine agenda.
As an American who grew up in the age of Eisenhower, when a conservative Republican built the interstate highway system and levied taxes on the upper 2% at levels of 90%, I am sad to see it no longer exists as a moderating force in the country.
