Let me say I am not in favor or illegal immigration or amnesty. However, you're statistics have a couple of flaws. There is nothing inherent in being Hispanic that makes one less educated or lazy. There is also nothing which makes them less likely to assimilate. First, they are assimilating just as immigrants from Ireland and Italy did at the turn of the 20th century. The problem is that they are assimilating to a different culture. They are assimilating to a welfare state which didn't exist 100 years ago. The problem is not with Hispanics. The problem is the welfare state. 100 years ago, this was the land of opportunity. Now it is the land of guaranteed housing, food, medical care, and technology.
