Unless there are some highly unusual circumstances -- extreme temperatures, exposure to electricity, strong magnetic fields, ... -- at a workplace there is no rational reason to prohibit a person with a concealed carry permit bringing his/her properly holstered gun to work. My gun went to work with me for two years and no one ever knew it was there. On a shift where no on was armed a guy who was mad about being fired put the shift manager into the ICU with an iron rod.
