Buffet, like Obama, is planting the seed that government provides the fruits of our labor and that the
government determines how best to spread the bounty. Under Obama we have learned that America's greatness is over. Next we need to forget why we were ever great in the first place. That a democracy's success is determined by the health of the marketplace.
I read recently about a 1980 event in which a woman said that she opposed raising taxes on the rich. The NY Times reporter replied, "Why? You don't have to pay those taxes." She said, "Someday I will." We need to bring that attitude back. It sounds a lot more positive, more American, than "Yes we can."
