Fletch: De La Casas isn’t used to slam anyone. He is used for his story which is just as relevant as any of his contemporaries when looking for primary sources. Zinn never said that every other text was biased to the right. What he expressly said is that all history texts are biased because no one can possible include all the information and what they choose to leave out as well as what they put in are based upon a bias even if it wasn’t a conscience effort. For that matter, Zinn never slammed Columbus and argues that we should not judge him or any other historical figure by contemporary standards.
