Mike, In general, we think alike; it’s a rare occasion that I don’t agree 100%. HOWEVER, this one column is an exception. As a certified pistol instructor, you soon learn that giving advice about what gun to buy is not a good idea. In fact, that idea is somewhere between poor and rotten. Don’t give advise about who to marry or about which gun to buy is the best policy. The are four things that must work together if you are going to carry a gun, i.e., (in order of priority) the shooter, the gun, the magazine and the ammo. Before buying a gun, the shooter should shoot as many barrowed guns as possible to see which works best for them. If you buy a gun you are MARRIED TO IT, if it doesn’t work for YOU have a problem.
