The short answer is no. The fanatical following that Obama has with his supporters is easily explained though. When a sane person is shown proof that what he believes is true just isn't, there is a moment of pause, then acceptance.
When a fanatic's belief system is challenged, however, instead of a moment of clarity, they defend their failed belief system even more ferociously. No amount of reasoning will make them believe that what they think is true just isn't. They are incapable of the idea that they could be wrong.
What we are seeing now with Obama's supporters is pure fanaticism. Very immature people with weak character that refuse to believe they're wrong.
