Grover Norquist is painfully naive regarding the current and recurrent tax rate debate. Current law will raise all tax rates unless action is taken to prevent that from happening. The republicans cannot block the increase in tax rates by holding out against raising the rates for the "rich". Actual legislation must be passed by both houses of the congress and signed by the President or all rates go up automatically. Hopefully what ever rates come out of the current standoff will become permanent so that businesses can plan more effectively for the future, The annual fiscal fiasco is getting boring as well as dis-functional.
