The first think in this conversation is to disabuse the Democrats, the Republicans, and all people on the government dole that the earnings from companies and individuals are theirs to tax and dispense, especially without a concern for having and sticking to a budget. The power to tax is not an unlimited power that Congress has from a constitutional perspective. Rather, it is an economic one. The government should not be allowed to continue in its Santa Claus with an unlimited credit card at its disposal mode, regardless of what tax loop hole is closed or what program is supposedly cut. Ronald Reagan said it best:
