Heard from the Keynesians years ago: Re-arranging the deck chairs bad idea #1: Provide a decent state-funded old age pension, and then force older workers to retire at some given age. -- This is already implemented in Greece, where people can retire at age 55. Re-arranging the deck chairs bad idea #2: Reduce the work week. France has already done this once and has a work week of about 35 hours. Want to bet that they come up with more ideas like those?
