The so-called "social issues," the "family values" that Democrats gleefully claim to own as the population becomes younger and browner, need not be a barrier. We simply have to frame the issues in secular, economic terms. Single-parenthood leads to poverty, school drop-outs, violence, incarceration and death. Democrats have created the conditions in which our impoverished inner-city poor live with their elitist "Murphy Brown" nonsense. Two parent families with a bread-winning dad is a winner for the children now, and for the country in the future. We don't need to promote this as some religious dogma.
