Had the House republicans done nothing to extend the Bush tax rates, 2012 election would have had a different outcome. We could have had a powerful campaign of lowering the tax rates, across the board, the economy would have been tighter and the people would have voted with their pocketbooks.
House republicans have the same chance again, just resolve the sequestration so we do not go over the fiscal cliff but not (repeat not) fight for the continuation of the Bush tax rates. The result will be three folds. One; the House republicans cannot be blamed for the consequence, two; the people will experience the consequence of their mandate and three; the people will really appreciate the value of Bush era tax rates.
