What is the “middle class?” Is it those families of four earning between $23,050 per year (poor) and $250,000 per year (rich)? Call it a $136,500 median? Does middle class America really have a right to be grumpy? Approximately 2.8 billion people live on less than $2 a day. Let’s say $4 dollars per day per family of four. Middle class America may earn only half as much a “rich” America, but they still make 34,000 times more than half the world’s population. Egalitarianism? Seriously?
