I agree with you. Those conservatives who refuse to vote for Romney on "principle" do not understand politics - it is the art of the "possible". They also don't understand that the faster we head towards self-destruction, the harder it will be to ever turn anything around. Americans may face disaster, and eventually dump out the socialists, but there's no reason to think they will ever realize that capitalism was a good thing. The free market, private property rights, etc. need to be defended. The problem with conservatives is that they refuse to do the hard work of politics except in the last few months before an election. Then they start whining and fuming. It's too late at that point. We never have enough ground-roots participation.
