Man, this one hits home. As the single father of a would-be-adult who turns 15 this week, I know the angst endured by parents because of electronics (smart phones, personal media devices, and computers) and the internet. There are so many devices that can hook kids directly into all kinds of stuff they should not be experiencing, and there is literally no way to stop it. Even if they don't have the devices (and mine does because his mother and grandparents have given them to him), all of their friends do. And so do schools and libraries. The only way to seal out the online world would be to have no internet connection in your home and never let the kid go out the door.....
