What conservatives do not understand in this particular situation, is a none elected individual controls the GOP, and they seem to believe that they owe their loyality to him first, above the people and above American's interest. He's not mentioned in Guy Benson's possible solution, but he's the elephant in the room. Grover IS the GOP, and they dare not do anything to cross him. The President knows the GOP is beholden to a mere Lobbyist, and they are afraid of him, and will never vote for anything that will rise taxes on the wealthy, perhaps they will consider rising taxes on the middle class, but never the wealthy, because that's who Grover represent. It's sort of like selling your soul to Satan when they signed that rediculous pledge.
