Gentle Readers, The Republicans should pass a balanced budget. Immediately. Then send it to the Senate and Pres. Obama. It would be rejected, but it would clarify the issues. If we spent the same amount the Federal Government spent in 2007, we would have a balanced budget this year. Much of the government is self-financing. The Post Office, as one example. If FedEX and UPS can operate profitably, why not the Post Office? Passport processing, National Parks, etc., all generate their own revenues. They could all be made independent, and self financing.
