Dear Mr. Brown,
If Palestine is now an ' observer state ', as such, are they not obliged to adhere
to the ordinary norms of conduct expected of any other recognized country?
If Palestine sponsors terrorists who attack Israel, can Israel not now retaliate, or even
force ' regime change ' as this violates the accepted norms of conduct for a state?
Is Palestine not now, actually, in fact, obliged to take decisive police or even
military action to stop terrorists within it's territory? Should they fail to do so,
would that not violate international norms?
Finally, doesn't recognizing the PA now isolate HAMAS?
This may yet turn out to be the best thing to happen for Israel
in many years? It all will depend how it's managed.
