The assurance of success comes with the "naming" of the thing. Government spending is labeled as part of GDP? Since when is government a "Product"? That is Overhead and Burden; it produces nothing. How about consumption? is that a product? Is the Government producing a product when it mails out a welfare check? Is it producing a product when it pays a janitor for sweeping the floor of an unnecessary building? Money taken from one productive person to pay another to do an unnecessary job is called producing a product? Suppose the only money spent was by Government; what's the GDP?
