Hooverville, a few hundred years ago the scientific community was in full agreement regarding phlogiston. That was the prevailing theory about what caused thing to burn for about a hundred years. Then oxygen was discovered and it was very clear that the phlogiston theory was completely wrong. Anytime I hear someone in any scientific field say that the science is settled, I cringe because anyone who is a serious scientist knows that the science is never settled. By the way, using inaccurate computer models to "prove" a theory is not science. Since much of climate science theory is based on such models, I question the whole body of work, not as a denier but as someone who despises sloppy research that leads to overwrought screeching.
