I agree with Ann 100% on this one. Raise taxes! Spend! Spend! Spend!
Imagine you own a small business that is struggling. You come home and tell your spouse that the family needs to cut back. You are argue they the family vacation should be put off, one of the houses sold, and one of the cars sold. Your spouse counters that the family needs "revenue" and advocates for a "balanced" response. Your spouse suggests that the family should take money out of the struggling business's operating budget. The business makes all the money --- it should pay its "fair share" and your spouse will cut back on the rate of growth of what he/she planned to spend next year. This is Democratic budgeting.
