Yep . . . I remember on the day before this year's election that Mike Gallagher was extolling his listeners to "pray for a Romney victory," that the listeners "should never underestimate the power of prayer." Gosh, what happened? Nothing fails like prayer. I'm sure you've tried it often with amazing and expected results. Stupid is as stupid does, indeed - talking to imaginary people as if they would have some influence. George Bush used to say that he spoke with God every day. And the Christians just loved him for it. If he had said that he talked with God through his hair dryer, we'd have impeached him and had him locked-away. I fail to see how the insertion of a hair dryer into the discussion makes the point invalid.
