Yes, wellread, the ice is melting. I don't know anybody who is denying that the climate is changing. It always has & always will. The point of the science is to discern whether or not the changes are as a result of human action, natural changes in the amount of solar energy the earth is receiving from the sun, other factors or a combination. The next thing to decide is what, if anything, can humans do to alter the trajectory of the changes, whether or not we humans have caused it.
Frankly, if humans are not the driving force behind the climate changes we are measuring, it follows that it is unlikely we can alter said trajectory. Better that we learn to adapt to the changes, something humans have been doing for 1000s of years.
