what you don't know that you don't know. So as we discover new large scale processes, that interact with other large scale processes that we don't fully understand either, and none of these unknowns is factored in - then how can it possibly be accurate???? You have to have provable or predictable effects and you can only have that in earth dynamics, when you know and can measure ALL the effects -- we, the human race - do not yet have all those metrics, let alone their interactions and the resulting effects - we are still learning what we don't know and that changes every day. For a good book on the errors of computer models, when compared to known results pick up Orrin Pilkey's book Useless Arithmetic - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orrin
