If the Reps. were paying attention, they would notice that for 80 YEARS, THE left has promised cuts and curtailments and restructurings and reasonable compromises and then they NEVER meet their promises and stick Reps. with taxes like Bush I's "read my lips" and excoriate the right for "lying" when the left PROMISED to cut SOMETHING in return for raised taxes.
