The fact of the matter is that the opportunity for greater rewards for the risk will continue to attract more and more criminals to these endeavors until people come to their senses and stop these wars on consumption. When you prohibit drugs, you have drug traffickers, drug pushers and violence. You don't have (anymore) alcohol traffickers, you have now distributors, manufacturers and buyers. If you want to stop organized crime, then don't make it possible for them to obtain their fabulous profits.
