Mitt was chosen
1. Because he had the party leadership behind him.
2. There were too many Conservatives in the race and they formed a circular firing squad- with Mitt standing outside that circle.
4. Mitt ran a smart Primary Campaign- in the General election Not so much.
5. This is critical and you have to recognize it- The Republican Party is part of the ruling class- they have little use for us Conservatives who actually expect the candidate and party demanding our votes to represent us.
