The continuing power struggle between the liberal and conservative wings of the Republican party continue to cost elections. What struggle? Ron Paul Delegates being shut out of voting for their candidate at the Convention turned off several million potential voters: instead of a big tent, they got a slap in the face. The Virginia Delegates, instead of being able to start a floor fight over conservative platform planks were kept locked up in their buses (unable to disembark) during the vote. Then the vote to allow substitution of duly elected candidates with candidates more favorable to the leading candidate all speak of less liberty and more of control. While these are not the only reasons for loosing, they certainly are not good signs.
