No, THIS is the kind of thinking that will keep conservatives in the wilderness for years to come. Let's just blame the candidate, huh? Funny how nobody said that after the first debate, isn't it? No, the problem wasn't the messenger, nor was it the message. The problem is that we have a winning message (and one that has resonated for 200 years), but we, as conservatives, have been assuming people would simply gravitate to it. Unfortunately, people need to be LED to it through education, and that's where we failed Mitt Romney. We expected that a presidential-looking guy, who wasn't named Barack Obama, was going to win because he had the right message. He, and we, failed to persuade independents with that message.
