And just WHAT is wrong with shopping at 8 pm instead of freaking midnight? I am so happy Wal-Mart led this move and so many other retailers followed suit. I spend a pretty set amount on presents during the holiday season. I enjoy the hustle and bustle and my family and I are temporarily on the opposite coast from the rest of the family. We'd probably sit around playing cards and talking on Thanksgiving night if we were together, which we aren't. The dishes are washed, the tree is up, and I can sit around watching tv or get some Christmas shopping done. I have noticed that except for the door buster specials, there's really nothing in the stores that's a better deal on Black Thurs/Fri than on any other day of the week. Caveat emptor.
