Romney was not the most libertarian candidate: Ron Paul was. He was cheated out of the nomination, and with that, Romney lost those millions of supporters that he needed. Beyond that, I never got a clear sense of what Romney was going to do: remember Obama got elected promising change, but no plan for what he was going to change. I think this lack of plan stood out especially next to Ron Pauls very clear plan to cut $1 trillion dollars of spending in his first year, and ending the debt in 4 years. The media chooses our candidates by the coverage they provide. Because of that, we don't always get the best candidates. Actually, we end up with our usual choice of who to vote for: bad or worse.
