Romney was not to blame, and neither was the Tea Party (of which I am a proud member).
We're not too conservative or too moderate. We're too divided.
Should we blame Romney more for foolishly not "connecting with," "uniting," or "firing up" the Conservative Base, or should we blame the Conservative Base for being so completely idiotic as to stay home rather than vote out Barack Obama?
The obvious answer is "yes."
We're all to blame, people. All of us. You, me, Romney, the Tea Party, the "Establishment Republicans," the Paulites, the Santorumites, the Gingrichites, my beloved Christian Right, the social moderates--ALL OF US.
I am sick to death of all of us blaming everyone else in hopes of covering our own faults.
