There are also vast differences bertween two people in the same family! I do no refer to myself as Hispanic, Latino, Mexican-American nor Chicano! I am more proud of my Mexican roots, but I am an American first. As long as we promote this hyphenated identities- we will never focus on who we are as Americans. How about Prager's concept of the trinity of American values which can be found on the quarter? Most people are not even aware of these values, which complement the words in the Declaration of Independence. These values apply to everyone, even atheists and agnostics. You may not believe in God, but at least you would prefer to live with people who have these values. If not, move to China, Cuba or Venezuela.
