I'm still not sure I see the point in claiming this to be a "religious freedom" issue. Let's say you have an insurance company that covers people from both Catholic and non-Catholic agencies. Both the Catholic and the non-Catholic agencies pay their premiums to the insurance company, and all that money goes into one bucket. That money can pay for literally anything in either type of policy -- Catholic (i.e., without contraception, abortion, sterilization) or non-Catholics (i.e., with all those things). So the Catholic money still goes to pay for non-Catholic things, even if the Catholic insurance policies won't cover those things. Just like when a Catholic spends money at Walgreens, some of that money will get used to by condoms in aisle 5.
