Alvin-I raised these kids in a rural area in South Texas, so you would think (according to libs) that the rednecks would've given us a hard time. Actually, we had very few problems. My parents have never treated these grandkids any different from the others and their aunts and uncles love them just as much as the white ones-although one brother has always teased his nephew about his kinky hair, that's his favorite uncle. My church has never treated them any differently and has treated them just like the other kids and they were very active in the youth group. They've grown up to be men that I'm proud of and have given me a few more grandkids. I am raising two grandkids, but not from the boys-they're good fathers and help me a lot.
