I knew a young man that had inherited a ton of money that he wasn't to get till age 25. His Dad died, when he was 18 months old and his Mom put every single SS check in savings for him on top of it.
At age 24, he was really ga-ga for this gal, ready to propose marriage. I asked him to tell her a lie before giving her a ring. It took some time to talk him into it, but he trusted me and did it. He told her his Mom had made bad investments and lost every dime and he was broke. The gal dumped him and broke his heart, years later, he thanked me. He's used that lie a few times in his life, when he found "friends" needed a loan, and were no longer friends. Some times it's NOT good to be independently wealthy and let others know about it
