People who are not excited about their jobs and just going from day to day often forget the normal courtesy that keeps people returning to their hotels. I was at a Marriot years ago, in CA, won't tell where, had unpacked, laid out my stuff, showered, dryed hair, left the dryer in the bathroom. The next day when I came back to the room after a football game, found my dryer gone. Weird, since the hotel dryers were white and mine was pink. Called the desk to complain and ask the staff to look for my dryer. Later in the day, the hotel brought me a new dryer to replace the missing one, and at the end of my stay, I recieved a 3 LB box of chocolates made at a local shop, shaped like a train. They were very good a courtesy.
