The best that can be said about this last election is that the government is still divided, as it should be. Look what happened when the Dems controlled all three houses, White, Congress and the Senate. Horrible legislation. The Republicans can be as bad with the Patriot Act, Medicare Part D and idiotic tarrifs, but the Dems outdid themselves with Obamacare. Fiscal conservatism should rule as that is the most pressing issue. The unparalleled amount of debt heaped on the next generations is unconscionable and the worst form of child abuse. The social issues aren't winners. Tax policy could be a winner if we got the population to understand what they are losing and why nobody without skin in the game should vote.
