If you are looking to explain/rationalize governmental "action" you could use that argument, but I want to give you a pair of conservative glasses to see through for a minute. Here's how an INDIVIDUAL should see this. On December 31st, if I am paying $600/pay period in taxes and then on January 1 I am paying $800 (roughly where it will be when the tax "cuts" expire) and seeing a tax increase. It matters not what the law USED to be....these tax rates have been baked into EVERY US CITIZEN'S home budget. Very simple, really.
