Without government help, an awful lot of young people would never be able to attend college, or get a graduate degree, or go to law or medical school . Without government help they would be doomed ot lives of utter poverty ,hoplessness and helplessness. People SHOULD work hard and try to be as self-sufficient and self-reliant as possible. But many people DO need help from the government. Star, STOP BLAMING THE VICTIMS ! If people like you got their way and the government just stopped helping people, poverty,unemployment , crime and human misery and chaos would be America's lot . And I forgot to mention this fact- the abortion rate would be much higher than it is already .
