I agree that Republicans (and politicians in general) should reject government regulation/legislation that corrupts the free market. But Borelli is deluded if he thinks Republicans will reject this. Even less than 30% of the 2010 Tea Party class voted to end corporate subsidies in their votes for funding the Import/Export Bank, the EDA, and the Dept. of Energy "green investment" program that gave us Solyndra and other government business failures. And RINOs like the campaign cash from farmers and the military industrial complex.
There are but a handful of Republicans who believe in free markets. The rest are statists, and like to meddle in commerce. There's lots of money to be made in using government force to meddle in commerce.
