Wrong. Bin Laden was independently wealthy. He was also an Islamic zealot. He was on basically a spring break type trip to the UAE with othrer young Muslim men. He saw the other drinking and womanizing and decided it was the west degrading Muslims. At that point his hatred for the west was born.
