Once again, the superior wisdom of the Founders manifests itself. Unlike the foolish Gomez who calls for mixing government and religion, Jefferson and Madison both called for separation of church and state. This is reflected in the First Amendment and "no religious test" clause in the Constitution. Government attacks on religious liberty are what happens when you fail to separate the two. Gomez assumes that mixing government and religion will conveniently mean his particular religious views will be forced on everyone else but when someone else's views are forced on him he squeals pitifully. Not understanding the problem, he foolishly assumes more mixing of religion and coercive government is the answer.
