Rock Stringo, I'm not talking about now. The Puritans were- well, Puritanical. They did persecute consenting adults, even married couples for what they did in private . But too many right-wingers wnat to deny homosexuals rights ,not just make same sex marriage illegal, make ocntraceptives illegal, put the government into women's reproductive organs, force women to bear children against their will even if a pregnancy would kill htem or ruin their health or they were too poor to provide for a child etc. This is infinitley worse than mayor Bloomberg's regulation of what we drink, bad as that is.
