Again, the bottom line:
We failed to unite. All Republicans are to blame. We then failed to show up on 11/6. Now Boehner is outnumbered 2-1 by the President and Senate in front of him, with a horribly divided GOP behind him.
As for public sentiment, we Republicans spent the past 4 years winning no one, convincing no one, moving no public opinion, and basically doing nothing but whine about how society was slipping away.
And now, we want Boehner to ride in and "hold the line."
What a joke. If Boehner compromises, we abandon him even worse than we have. If he holds the line, he'll get mauled in 2014 by a voting public we've neglected.
What should Boehner do? I couldn't care less, because he's not the problem.
