I wish it had been me! I have been told that the company in Louisana which made the landing craft for the WWII beach landings was hassled routinely during the war by the outrageous demands of the union. That after wars end when they made further demands he could not, or preferred not to again accommodate, he just locked the factories and never again reopened! I sat in a restaurant in Miami, across the street from the old Pan Am and Eastern hangars and watched ex employees carrying picket signs after the airlines were out of business! The Twinkie experience now exposes. in the short time frame of today exactly what Unions have done to no less than 55 thousand factories in recent years.
