No point in commenting on this issue, it is exactly where it was the last four times it has been on the table, Republicans will cave and agree to increased revenue for promises of spending cuts that never materialize. It makes no difference really what they do, we are already over the cliff; this is just more political smoke and mirrors. We are going to hit the jagged rocks below the proverbial cliff with a bone-crushing splash. It is unclear what will emerge from the twisted and gory rubble but I suspect that those currently in Congress had best post a look out, because the pitchforks shovels and torches are headed their way.
